Fuel wheels are very popular among those who drive trucks. Take a look on the street and on the trails, you will no doubt spot Fuel wheels on all types of trucks including Chevy, Ford, Toyota and GMC. In fact, you will even see Fuel wheels on dually trucks. If not already familiar, a dually truck has two extra wheels on the back axle. These added wheels aren’t just for show, they serve a purpose.
You see, dually trucks are great for towing. So if you have a massive RV or huge trailer that needs to be towed, you would be better off using a dually truck. Dually trucks are also great for hauling big payloads. But if you aren’t familiar with dually trucks, here are a few more common types.
The Ford Super Duty F350 comes in a crew cab, extended cab and regular cab models as well as diesel and regular gas configurations. In addition, the Ford Super Duty F350 offers numerous trim and powertrain options, certainly enough to meet any consumer’s needs.
The Dodge Ram 3500 offers a 6.7-liter high-output diesel engine with plenty of power. This heavy-duty truck also includes fully boxed rear rails so it is ready for both gooseneck hitch and fifth wheel. This baby can tow up to 30,000 pounds and has an interior as luxurious as a BMW.
The Dodge Ram Laramie is basically a special version of the 3500 truck. This 4x4 beauty comes with a crew cab that comfortably seats five. Its diesel engine is upgraded as are the interior options. It has a very generous towing capacity and exhaust brakes very similar to those you find on the big rigs. This means more control and stability. This truck is ideal for those who make their living in construction or similar industries.
So if you are in the market for a truck that really is a workhorse, you may want to consider one of these fine models. The only downside to owning a dually truck is the inability to order food at the McDonald's drive-thru.
