Besides Polishing Your Moto Metal Wheels, You are Hard-Pressed to Think About What Other Exercises You Do

You took the family bowling last Saturday night and discovered that sitting around all winter has left you out of breath and out of shape. Besides polishing your Moto Metal wheels, you are hard-pressed to think about what other exercises you do in the winter.
Look, we know it’s cold and dark outside and you wouldn’t be caught dead at a gym, but for your health, you need to suck it up and get some sort of exercise. Polishing your truck wheels isn’t going to stave off that heart attack.
So for your sake, try a few of these winter fitness ideas.
Stairs
Running, or even walking, up and down the stairs in your home is a great way to work those legs and get a good cardio workout. But the workout doesn’t have to be all stairs, mix it up by doing a few sets of stairs and then add in some walking intervals. You can also add weights to the routine to make it more difficult and more intense.
Indoor Sports
There are any number of indoor sports you can sign up for. Competition levels in these recreational sports range from recreational to expert. Many of these programs are held at local recreational centers or schools where there is plenty of room to run around.
A few examples of sports you can play include roller hockey, basketball, dance classes and water polo.
Mall Walking
When it is too cold or too dark to walk outside, drive to the mall and have your walk there. Mall walking isn't just for the elderly, a brisk walk can burn up to 400 calories an hour. And when you are done with your mall walk, you can cool down with Orange Julius and Cinnabon. Just kidding, but you can pick up a Valentine’s Day gift for your wife.
Dancing
No, we are not saying you need to sign up for a dance class or dance lessons to get fit in the winter. We know a little secret; when nobody is around and you know no one can see you, you bust a groove.
You put on a dance show just like Tom Cruise in Risky Business, don’t deny it. Grab your earbuds or if you have a stereo crank out some great tunes from the likes of Motley Crue or Metallica and bang that head and move that body!
Home Workouts
You don't have to order the latest, greatest workout DVD, like the PS500 whatever. The internet is full of workout videos, all you have to do is search for them. Add in some weights or a stability ball and you can have one heck of a workout.
We recommend finding something from Richard Simmons, but we can see that might not be in your comfort zone. Do a Google search for “1980s workout videos and we guarantee you will find something worthy. Even if you aren’t a fan of Jane Fonda, the 1980s had a lot to offer as far as workout videos are concerned.
