Celebrate National Pickup Truck Day with a Set of Sweet Truck Wheels

5th Mar 2018

You are all familiar with the well-known holidays that we celebrate every year, like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day and Independence Day. Many of you also know about some of the more obscure holidays some people celebrate like Arbor Day, Secretary's Day and National Puppy Day. What, you haven't heard about National Puppy Day? It’s celebrated on March 23rd, right between Extraterrestrial Abductions Day and Waffle Day, a very special day for puppy enthusiasts all over the country.

The point we are so desperately trying to make here is that there is a holiday for just about everything. The list of weird and obnoxious holidays includes National Golf Day, National Mole Day and Wiggle Your Toes Day. Just what do you serve for dinner on National Wiggle Your Toes Day?

This is all fine and dandy if you like puppies, golf, wiggles your toes a lot or have some strange fascination with moles, but what about normal people who like other things in life, like pickup trucks?

We scoured the depths of the internet searching for some reference to a Truck Day or Pickup Truck Day and were so disappointed that this day just does not exist. So we decided to take matters into our own hands and create a National Pickup Truck Day. So for anybody reading this take note that from now on, March 5th is officially National Pickup Truck Day.

Now go out into the world and celebrate this fine holiday.

What? You aren't sure how to celebrate National Pickup Truck Day? Well, here are some thought on the matter and rules about National Pickup Truck Day brought to you by BB Wheels, your source for the best selection of truck wheels.

Dress Accordingly

Just as you wear green on Saint Patrick’s Day and wear a costume on Halloween, you need to dress up for National Pickup Truck Day. Trucker hats with some obnoxious sayings on them are a must. Something like “I’m so poor I can’t even pay attention” or “It was me who let the dogs out” will do just fine.

Do not wear anything stylish or hip and avoid using an iron at all costs. If you have overalls, throw them on; boots are recommended as well. If you don't have any of these items, find the ugliest button-up shirt you own, tear the sleeves off and you are good to go.

Cuisine

There are foods that are associated with particular holidays and it is no different with National Pickup Truck Day. While you might celebrate Thanksgiving with a turkey, Christmas with ham or a duck, we will be celebrating National Pickup Truck Day with a cheeseburger and fries.

It is frowned upon when you cook your own burger on the grill at home, leave that for Independence Day or Memorial Day. True pickup enthusiasts buy their burger and fries from a fast food joint. Burger King, Wendy’s and McDonald's are examples of excellent places to grab your National Pickup Truck Day food.

You can get your hamburger from a high-end burger joint like Hardee’s, but it can be risky if you happen to get caught by a pickup truck purist.

Gifts

This is easy. All gifts that are exchanged on this day has to improve the recipient's pickup truck. A great gift would be a set of truck wheels from BB Wheels. Other great gift ideas include the iconic mudflap girl, a gun rack for the cab or a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag.

If you are a cheapskate or currently between jobs and can't afford much, a Duck Dynasty bumper sticker is quite acceptable.

If you want to give the gift that keeps on giving, go to BB Wheels and pick out a great set of truck wheels from our impressive inventory. And treat yourself to a set as well.
