And in terms of safety, SUVs have the room for pet carriers big enough that your dog can roam free but be safe from flying through the windshield in the event of a collision.

If you are lucky enough to live in a part of the country where it snows in the winter, you look forward to the white, fluffy stuff if you own an SUV.
