If You Have a Truck with Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires, Head to the Ski Slopes

3rd Feb 2017

Now is a great time to go skiing. That is, if you live in a part of the country where you can drive to a ski slope in a decent amount of time. And if you have a truck with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, because the roads to ski slopes are usually slippery, snow-packed or both.

Anyway, we are in the midst of winter and since the groundhog saw his shadow the other day, apparently we have more winter coming. Funny how we mock science for making claims like “global warming” yet we let an uneducated mammal predict the weather.

But we digress, we are here to give you several reasons to take a weekend or a few days off work and spend that time on a ski slope. For those of you who already indulge in the sport, go find something else to do, for those of you who don’t, here are the reasons to grab some skis.

Get Buff

Who doesn’t want to be buff? Anyone who has ever hit the slopes knows that skiing is a great way to tone up your legs and burn some calories. And it sure beats getting in shape at the gym. After spending a few days flying down the slopes, you will be happy with the way you look and amazed at how good you feel.

Great Views

You may have gone sight-seeing before, but you have never seen anything as beautiful as what you can see on the top of a mountain. Stand on top of that mountain and do a little reflecting before skiing down. Stare out at the horizon, there is no limit to how far you can see. If you look hard enough, you can actually see Russia!

Too Cool

While skiing might be a pretty common activity, it is still considered an extreme sport. So even though you stick mainly to the bunny hills, you are still cool because you are a skier. And you will definitely bank some bonus “cool” points if you snowboard or ski a tough run.

Cool Clothes

When you go skiing, it is all about what you wear. Seriously, you never see anybody on the slopes wearing Dockers and a Member’s Only jacket. Going on a ski outing means hitting REI for the best ski clothes money can buy. Look at it this way; even if you don't ski very well, you look good trying.

Vitamin D

You probably don't spend enough time outside in the winter and it could be bad for your health. The negative effects of a vitamin D deficiency include sluggishness, difficulty concentrating and depression and apathy. So head to the ski slopes and soak up some sun.

Snow

Skiing is one of the rare occasions when you think that snow is beautiful. This is because you get to have fun in the snow while on your ski trip. It is snow that doesn't have to be shoveled and the more it snows, the better the ski conditions.
