Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires and Slayer's Farewell Tour

Over the years many aspects of the way you listen to music have changed. Depending on your age, you may have started out listening to vinyl, then cassettes were the hot commodity for awhile until CDs came along. Nowadays, many people simply download the music they want to hear or have “Alexa” play their favorite tunes.

Pickup trucks have also evolved through the years. In the beginning, trucks were simply utilitarian vehicles with little to offer in terms of safety and luxury. Modern trucks are just the opposite as they now offer safety features that can be found in most cars and many are as luxurious as BMWs and Cadillacs.

But there are a few things that haven’t changed with music or with trucks. Regardless the way in which you listen to music, vinyl, CD or digital, nothing beats seeing your favorite bands and artists perform live. And whether you own a classic 1970s Chevy pickup truck or a 2018 Ford F-150, nothing beats tailgating in the parking lot before a rock concert or other show.

Tailgating before a concert gives you the opportunity to chat it up with your friends and showcase your new set of Dirty Life wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

Over the last several months, loads of amazing bands and artists from a host of music genres have announced tour plans this year. So many, that it would be in your best interest to start marking your calendar now for these events. Here are a few bands and artists that you simply can’t miss.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has given us some very memorable performances in the past, who can forget her Super Bowl show and the antics of Left Shark, so we can’t wait to see what she has in store for 2018.

Harry Styles

Harry Styles has been killing it since leaving One Direction to do his own thing. 2018 marks his first solo headlining tour. Just what to expect is anybody’s guess, but we imagine it will be memorable.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars recently won record of the year, which is reason enough to go and see him. But if you caught him in either of his Super Bowl performances, you know that this guy puts on a heck of a show.

Ed Sheeran

The best thing about Ed Sheeran is that you can choose not to go to his concert.

Billy Joel

Billy Joel is a music legend and dominated the industry in the 1970s and 1980s with 33 top 40 hits and over 150 million records sold. Go and see the piano man play everything from Uptown Girl to We Didn’t Start the Fire. Go see him this year because nobody knows if or when he might tour again.

Elton John

Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour begins this September and marks the last world tour from this outstanding performer. If there is only one show you can attend this year, seriously consider this tour.

Unless you love Slayer.

Slayer

2018 also marks the end of touring for of another powerhouse in the music industry. After 37 years on the road, members of the death metal band Slayer say they are embarking on their farewell tour. They are taking along with them Anthrax, Lamb of God, Behemoth and Testament, so it will be a show you won’t want to miss.

Shania Twain

If you own a pickup truck, then you have to see Shania Twain, it’s just one of those rules that you don't want to break. Besides, there is nothing wrong with seeing a Shania Twain concert.

The Killers

It has been a long five years since we have heard anything from The Killers. They have a new album and are backing it up with a tour, so this gives you the perfect opportunity to check them out.

Foo Fighters

This is a band we would go see every year.

Misfits

Yup, this one was JUST announced; the classic Misfits lineup will reunite for a show in New Jersey. Ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo joins Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein for a show that will certainly be epic.

If you want to see this show, a road trip to New Jersey will have to be planned so make sure your truck is in good working order and spruce it up a bit with a set of truck wheels from BB Wheels.
