People who own pickup trucks like to go camping as much as they can, it comes with the stereotype. Either that or people who like to go camping a lot are partial to pickup trucks. Regardless, the majority of vehicles you see at campsites are certainly trucks, and for good reasons we might add.

You see, trucks go places that your Hyundai Elantra doesn't, like the dirt road that leads to your favorite camping site. And that Hyundai Elantra doesn't have a bed, so you are restricted in what you can take on your camping trip because of a puny trunk. Lastly, even if you drive the most awesome Hyundai Elantra to your camping destination, you still kind of look like a dork. Just saying.

On the other hand, you look awesome driving your truck to your camping destination, even if you own an older model truck. Any truck, regardless the model or year can look awesome with a great set of truck wheels like Fuel wheels, Monster wheels or Gear Wheels.

But so much for looking cool while driving to your favorite camping site, the real reason we are here is to give you even more reasons you need to go camping this weekend. And although we are quite sure we have written several articles on reasons to go camping, we are writing this one because we are going camping this weekend and it’s all we can think about.

Escape the Hectic City Life

Camping is great because it’s far away from the hectic city life that starts to get on your nerves after awhile. It doesn't take long before screeching wheels, people yelling profanities and car horns make you want to pierce your eardrums.

Another thing, when you go camping, you don't have to worry about loading or unloading the dishwasher, throwing your clothes in the laundry or having to go to Walmart to buy essentials, like food. In fact, when you go camping, you can forget all about those tasks you have to do every day that seem to consume much of your free time.

You Forget How Much You Appreciate Nature

You think the city park is an awesome place to hang out because it has grass, trees and other plants, which makes it look real pretty. But when you get to your camping destination and take a good look around, you realize just how dull and boring the city park really is.

You see, when you go camping, you get to experience real nature, not just a few trees and some yellow grass. And if you think the night sky looks beautiful from your backyard, wait until you see it on your camping trip, simply amazing. Every part of nature is 20 times better when you are camping as opposed to what you see in the city.

Quality Time with the Family

You spent last weekend binge-watching Orange is the New Black and flipping through baseball games and episodes of Teen Mom OG and considered that family time, how pathetic.

If you really want to spend time with your family, and we're talking quality time, then take them camping this weekend. A camping trip will give you the opportunity to spend time together as a family without distractions.

Cooking is Best when Done Outdoors

Cooking outdoors means never having to clean off the stove or do dirty dishes. Another bonus is you don't have to eat tofu casserole, squash spaghetti or any of those other healthy meals your mother makes. Outdoor grub is the bomb as it includes hot dogs and s'mores.

Dog Friendly

Camping is truly a vacation for the entire family as it is perfectly acceptable to bring along the four-legged members of the family. This means you don't have to leave Fido with the neighbors or pay to have him boarded.

Camping is Inexpensive

You consider yourself frugal, but you are really just a cheapskate. When it comes to budget family vacations, skip the Motel 6 and sleep in your tent for free. Camping will give you the most bang for your buck. In addition to expensive hotels, you will save money not having to eat at restaurants, paying for tourist excursions and souvenirs that find their way into the trash when you get home.
