You Have a Truck and Fuel Wheels, Take Your Family Somewhere Cool This Fall
13th Sep 2017
Football season has started, baseball season is winding down and you can find most any food and beverage product pumpkin spice flavored, this tells us that fall is near. The leaves are about to change, the days are getting shorter and before you know it, you will be complaining about how cold it is outside.
Autumn is a beautiful time of year, not only because for the colors, but because it’s not too hot and not too cold outside. The weather is like the little bear’s porridge; it’s just right.
For those who say that summer is the best season, well, we think you are wrong. Sure, you might miss the long days and warm nights summer has to offer, but you can’t have a shot of pumpkin spice bourbon and wash it down with a pumpkin spice beer in July.
Autumn is an exciting time of year and if you are spending your weekends glued to the television watching bad quarterbacks scramble to save their lives, then you are missing out on the best time of the year.
You own a truck, a truck with a nice set of Nitto Grappler tires wrapped around an equally as nice set of Fuel wheels. BB Wheels urges you to take advantage of your mode of transportation and the autumn weather by taking your family to do some outdoor activities.
And we don’t mean hand the kids rakes and send them to the backyard.
It’s time to start thinking about fun outdoor activities you can do with the family. Here are a few to get you started.
Attend a Barn Dance
There are so many reasons to attend a barn dance; no, really, there are. Besides the good music and great food, a barn dance is a way the entire family can get some exercise. Barn dances are a tradition with food, fun, music and a good time watching people cutting the rug.
Mountain Biking
Sure, you could go mountain biking almost any time of the year, but the best scenery and best weather are in the fall.
Mountain biking gives you a killer workout. You could get the same workout on your treadmill at home, but you would be missing out on the autumn colors and fresh air. In addition, mountain biking is therapeutic and allows you to blow off that steam and reflect on the terrible week you had at work.
But best of all is that mountain biking is something the entire family can do. It’s better than having the family lying around the house with their faces in their smartphones.
Do a Corn Maze
Corn mazes are giant puzzles that you walk through. Farms in your area cut paths through their cornfields and create mazes that have loops, dead ends and other challenges. Since the corn is taller than you are, it’s all too easy to get lost.
Many farms also offer other activities like hayrides and cow trains and might even offer up some farm-grown goods you can purchase. This is definitely fun for the whole family.
Visit an Orchard
September and October are the prime months for picking apples. Many orchards open their gates to the public in the fall and let families like yours do the picking.
Just think about all of the pies and applesauce you can make with those apples.
Go Camping
Fall is the best time to take the family for a weekend camping trip. The weather is still warm enough that you are comfortable and there are fewer people and fewer bugs to have to deal with.
Go on a Picnic
Again, fall is the perfect time of year for most any summer activities, like going on a picnic, because it offers better weather and fewer crowds.
Take a Fall Foliage Drive
Consult Google about places in your area where it is best to see the colors of fall. Plan out a trip on Google Maps, load up the spouse, kids, Fido and some snack foods and drinks and head out for a lovely drive and watch everybody smile as they soak in the scenery.
Tailgate at a Football Game
Whether it a college game or the pros, throw an epic tailgate party. Pack up your truck with a grill, hamburgers, hot dogs and other foods and beverages and head to the stadium.
