You just had a set of Fuel Forged wheels mounted on your truck and they look great. But you also know that they are tough and durable as well, just the type of truck wheels you need when off roading. Now that you have a great set of off-roading wheels, perhaps it’s time you take your truck on a tour of the country and visit all of the best off-road trails.

Alpine Loop Trail

Alpine Loop Trail is about a five-hour drive from Denver just outside Lake City, Colorado. The trail snakes through the San Juan mountains crossing two 12,000 foot passes and past several ghost towns. And we aren’t exaggerating when we say the view from the peaks are absolutely breathtaking. This 63-mile trail is suitable for 2WD vehicles, but a 4WD is definitely recommended. For those who live in sunny and warm climates take note; Alpine Loop is closed during the winter as it does tend to snow in Colorado.

Rubicon Trail

Due west of Lake Tahoe in California lies Rubicon Trail, an off-roaders wonderland that is so iconic it was named after a Jeep. The trail cuts through Tahoe National Forest as well as El Dorado National Forest and boasts some seriously challenging terrain. No kidding, it is recommended that only specialized 4x4s attempt this 22-mile trail. Pack well for this trip and don't forget a fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

Moab

Moab, Utah. Moab is one of the most well-known and iconic off-roading destinations. The breathtaking views are enjoyed by hikers, bikers and rafters alike. There is plenty of harsh terrain on which you can hone your four-wheeling skills. If you don’t have a trail-worthy vehicle, there are Jeep rentals available.

Silver Lake Dunes

For a whole different kind of off-road experience, head on down to the Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan. The sand dunes, located over roughly 500 acres of open space, prove to be a challenging yet fun experience. Driving on such soft sand requires a whole different set of driving skills. And there just isn't a feeling that equals what you experience when cresting a tall dune. As you drive, there are some spectacular views to enjoy as well.

Mojave Road

Mojave Road runs from Bullhead City, Arizona to Newberry Springs, California and there is no better way to spend two or three days behind the wheel. This 140-mile trail is full of historical landmarks and great views. Just watch out for all the snakes.
