​You Want Truck Wheels and a New Truck To Go with Them

You aren't doing this because you are bored. You're looking through our truck wheels in hopes that your spouse notices what you are doing. This is one way to hint at what you want for Christmas this year.

Of course, you could just tell her that you want a new set of truck wheels for Christmas, but we guess that thought never crossed your mind.

But here are our thoughts on the matter. Why just stop at getting a set of wheels for Christmas? Why don't you just buy a new truck?

After all, your truck is pretty outdated and it does need some work put into it, which is going to cost you some money anyway. Plus, if you buy a new truck and get a set of truck wheels, it will be the best Christmas ever!

Now, there are a few hurdles to jump before this can come to fruition. The highest hurdle to leap is in the form of your wife, who will have to be convinced that you need a new truck. This is no easy task. It is best if you have a clever plan. Here is where you start.

Holiday Gift

If the Christmas gift you give your wife this year sweeps her off her feet or otherwise impresses her, your chances of approval for a new truck get better.

However, if you fail in the gift-giving, like you do most every year, then your chances of getting a new truck plummet to about the same odds as the Cleveland Browns making the playoffs this year.

In order to increase the odds of giving her a great gift, you will need to buy her more than one. You don’t want to place all of your hopes on a single gift, so buy more than one.

Just as important as what you need to buy her for a gift is what NOT to buy her for a gift. This means that any small kitchen appliance is out of the question. This means you can't buy her another toaster this year. And although a vacuum cleaner is not technically a small kitchen appliance, don’t follow your urge to buy her one as a gift.

Under no circumstance are you to buy her any type of lingerie as a gift, it is sure to backfire. Even if in spite of great odds, you happen to find a laced goodie that she thinks is modest and actually likes, you are sure to get it in the wrong size.

If the laced garment is too big, she thinks you think she is fat. If you get it in a size that is too small, she will think you think she is fat and needs to lose weight. Either way, you lose, buddy.

The first thing you need to do is plan ahead. That is, start thinking about great gift ideas right now and don't wait until the last minute like you usually do.

Make a list of the things she likes, like massages and manicures or puppies, and then think about what gifts might compliment her tastes. For example, if she likes manicures, then get her a gift card from a nearby spa. For more than $10 of course.

If you are still at a loss, make some conversation with her about what is going on in your life, she might let her guard down and drop a hint about what she wants. Of course, you will probably miss it.

But your best bet is to just come out and ask her what she wants for Christmas.

Utilize the Truck You Already Have

Have your parents watch the children for the weekend and take your sweetheart for a weekend of adventure and romance. Ok, just adventure.

Take her to a nice bed and breakfast high up in a quiet mountain resort. Free up a little time one afternoon on your outing to go and chop down your family Christmas tree and store it in the bed of your truck.

Then take her on a snowy mountain trail, park, and have a picnic basket ready to go with sandwiches from the local deli, wine and a thermos of hot chocolate. Tell her that this adventure is possible because you own a truck, even though it is an old and outdated truck.

Don't be subtle about your displeasure in having to drive an old truck.

Learn to Cook

Well, you don't need to learn to be a chef or anything like that, learn just enough that maybe you can help her bust out a killer Christmas Day meal this year.

Let her handle the tough stuff, like the baked ham and holiday pies, you can do the grunt work. You can be the one who peels the potatoes for the mashed potatoes, chops the nuts for the pecan pie and washes the carrots and broccoli for the vegetable medley plate.

And if you can’t even do the smallest of kitchen tasks, the least you can do is help her clean the house in preparation for relatives.

Get Cleaned Up

If we had to take a stab in the dark at what you are wearing this very moment, we would say jeans, a t-shirt and a baseball cap. Of course, this is what we would say you would be wearing tomorrow and the next day as well. In fact, unless forced to go to a wedding or a funeral, this is what you wear every day of the year.

If you want to impress the little lady and give her a reason to buy a new truck, then take a shower, shave and put on some decent looking clothes leading up to the holidays. She might be so impressed that she will gladly allow you to buy a new truck.

Well, it’s worth a shot anyway.

Beg

If all else fails, get down on your hands and knees and beg her for a new truck. If you can muster some real tears, it just might work.

If she flatly denies your request for a new truck, all is not a total loss. Because of the efforts you have made recently, she might be so inclined to buy you a set of truck wheels from BB Wheels for Christmas.
