I really like these wheels. I was originally looking for the deep dish style, but could not find anything in 20x9 6x5.5 with a -12 offset (or more offset) in a machined silver or chrome wheel. Black was not an option as this silver Nissan Armada has the chrome package from the factory and black wheels would look out of place. These were a good compromise and glad I purchased.
I called BB Wheels prior to ordering and discussed my situation. They were very knowledgeable, answered my questions and not pushy. The shipment came very quickly, compared to wheels I’ve ordered from other companies for both my son’s vehicles. I chose the ROUTE optional insurance and tracking, which gave piece of mind. They were packed well in thick cardboard boxes and inserts, plastic rim guards and wrapped in a cloth type material. The chrome feels thick and even across the wheel and really shine. They balanced well at the shop and accepted new TPMS sensors with no issues.
My 2010 Armada is lifted 5” and I wanted to widen the stance (if you go up, you need to go out). I periodically tow a 5,000# boat and buying a wheel to widen my stance with an appropriate rating was important. Since the bore on these wheels did not match the smaller bore of the Armada, I also ordered hub-centric rings to ensure a proper fit. If anyone tells you these are not necessary, they are lying or have no idea what they’re talking about! If the wheel bore does not match up, buy them! It’s a small investment. I have seen wheel mounting holes damaged and tires unevenly worn due to vibrations and off-center installation (ask my son).
The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating was due to some deep grooves or what look like scratches on the inside of each wheel. The shop assumed these marks are from how they mount and chrome dip the wheels during the manufacturing process. I find this to be a legitimate scenario, but my concerns are the durability of the chrome in these areas over time. My first preference in a wheel is machined silver, as chrome tends to bubble and flake over time due to the elements and requires reasonable care. I see this area as a weak point, but only time will tell. I did keep the factory wheels/tires (last pic) and plan to swap them out in the winter, so my longevity concerns may be moot. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. These wheels complete the overall look of my 11-year old Armada. I’ve had several people comment on it over the past month. How many lifted Armadas do you see these days with chrome wheels and an aggressive stance? Not too many. Thanks BB wheels!
